KCSI's Entry Point™ Continuum

Protocol-Driven Implantology for General Dentists

Enter Implantology the right way.

As with surgical access into soft tissue and bone, your journey into the world of oral implantology should begin with a well-designed Entry Point. We invite you to join us for our full continuum!

Entry Point is KCSI’s flagship implant course continuum. It provides a formal introduction to the discipline of oral implantology. It is designed to create surgical and prosthetic competency with starter cases, which comprise approximately 75% of the implant cases that you will encounter in your own office. We define starter cases as:

    • Shorter edentulous spans, generally posterior
    • Little to no need for simultaneous grafting
    • An ideal, low-risk host
    • An ideal site in terms of height, width and bone density

Entry Point will train you to handle all phases of your implant cases that fall within the above parameters — from case selection and treatment planning, to surgical placement and final restoration.

Customize Your Entry Point™ Experience.

Dr. Adrian Perez has completed 3 Live Patient Treatment sessions, where he has presented and placed approximately 15 implants. Building upon the training he has gained from the Entry Point™ continuum, he is now performing cases regularly in his own office.

As he develops further, Dr. Perez can enroll in a Live Patient course at any time in the future to perform more advanced cases.

You can tailor your Entry Point™ experience to fit your own needs. We have several packaged options that come with a discount — scroll down to learn more.

*The 3 Live Patient Tx course package is by far our most popular option, and it is our strongest recommendation for beginning implantologists.
3 Live Patient Sessions are the way that Entry Point™ is ideally designed.

A beautiful certificate of completion will be awarded to those who complete this package.

An additional benefit to this package is that 110 CE credits satisfies the CE portion of the ICOI fellowship award, something that is encouraged for all of our participants.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who is Entry Point Continuum for? Beginners in implantology are welcome — however, Entry Point is more than a beginner’s continuum. It is also designed for those who have previous implant training, but who still need help with clinical implementation. There are many who have taken an AAID maxi course, for example, who still need the refresher that our didactic courses provide, and the real-time clinical experience that our live patient sessions provide.

What is the difference between a course and a continuum? Nomenclature varies according to implant institute, even though the same terms are in common use — such as course, continuum, session, etc. Our term for a single training session is a course. We put these together in a series for a continuum. Our entire curriculum, which will eventually offer additional courses in surgical training, is known as KCSI’s Implant Success Series.

Do you offer a completion certificate? For those who complete the 3 Live Patient course package of Entry Point, you will receive a beautiful certificate of completion that you can display in your office.

Do the credits from this continuum qualify for ICOI Fellowship credit? Yes! See the requirements for ICOI fellowship on their website. As of fall 2022, 100 CE credits in oral implantology are required for fellowship, in addition to several other clinical requirements. Completing and documenting cases will ultimately be up to you, but Entry Point will give you a fantastic head start.

Do you offer more advanced training? We are anxious to unveil additional courses in bone grafting, sinus lifting and full-arch treatment. Our hope is to offer these in fall 2023. In the meantime, clients who are looking for clinical training on these topics are welcome to enroll in our live patient sessions as a standalone course. See More Advanced Training for more details.
