Prosthetic Concepts

Foundation Course 4

Learn to practice prosthetically-driven implantology.

This 30 CE course is available online and on-demand. It helps participants negotiate the critical steps that follow implant placement, including the management of healing times, second-stage surgery, tissue training concepts, and the nomenclature and procedures that are involved with implant restorations. Digital workflow solutions are also addressed. As with our Surgical Placement Fundamentals course, this course focuses on preparing participants to handle their own starter-case prosthetics.

From Dr. Hillam:

“I look forward to bringing the Prosthetic Concepts course to you. I’m not sure if there is anything quite like it in the marketplace. In its modules, you will take a deep dive into components & instruments, tissue training, biomechanics & design — and you will learn many practical ways to improve your prosthetic workflow. This is a big project that is deeply rooted in available scientific literature. It consists of more than 1800 slides. Restorative and prosthetic processes are generally more native to us as dentists, but I think you will be very surprised pleased with what you learn in this course.”

Course Objectives:

Participants will learn:

• Prosthetically driven protocols
• Second-stage surgery
• Tissue training
• Biomechanics & design principles

• Impression techniques
• Nomenclature, components, & instruments
• Prosthetic options
• And much more…

Prosthetic Concepts is also an excellent standalone primer for those who aren’t yet ready for surgical training, but who want to be better prepared for the restorative cases they face on a daily basis.

NOTE: This course can be taken as part of the Entry Pointcontinuum, or as a standalone course.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who is Entry Point Continuum for? Beginners in implantology are welcome — however, Entry Point™ is more than a beginner’s continuum. It is also designed for those who have previous implant training, but who still need help with clinical implementation. There are many who have taken an AAID maxi course, for example, who still need the refresher that our didactic courses provide, and the real-time clinical experience that our live patient sessions provide.

Are there hands-on sessions in this course? Yes. We will send you a model and supplies to follow along online modules.
